As the waves of the tide come in Claire out runs the water on the beach of Seaside, OR. Seaside is a city in Clatsop County, Oregon, United States. The name Seaside is derived from Seaside House, a historic summer resort built in the 1870s by railroad magnate Ben Holladay.
Nothing like sliding down a mountain in a huge inner tube on a winters day. Claire and I went up to Snoqualmie Pass over the weekend and the thing she enjoyed the most was the thrill of tubing. Lots of fun.
This past summer I was at quite a few weddings and wanted to share some of the pictures I made of the children in attendance.
This wedding was on top of Crystal Mountain accessed via a big red gondola. It was a fun time for all.
Here is a wedding group photo of about100 people. It is the large group wedding panorama portrait of everyone in attendance I make at every wedding including the flower girls.
I finally got to meet Frieda when she was almost one week old. What a beautiful baby girl with such very long fingers. She will probably grow up and be a concert pianist.
Here are a few of my favorite images of her and her parents.
I recently was photographing a wedding in Phoenix AZ and was delighted to get the chance to photograph some younger members of the wedding. I especially love the difference between the boys and girls. the boys had to be bribed with the offer of some Pez for walking down the aisle. the flower girl was delighted to enjoy her time in the spotlight passing out roses as she ambled down the runway, I mean aisle.
Two years ago I photographed the baby belly of Molly when she was 9 months pregnant on a Sunday afternoon. Then on tuesday the bella baby Harper came popped out of the belly and into the world. Although I have photographed her a couple of times I wanted to post an update now that she just turned 2. Harper loves playing “Where’s the baby” with me. What a sweet child.

The Taproot Theatre acting studio put on a production of “Law & Order, Fairy Tale Unit” yesterday, the culmination of a week long summer camp for children interesting in acting. Claire was interested and took part mainly as the character Pinochio, who could not tell a lie without it hurting her nose. Below the cast takes a bow at the end of the performance. Thanks to Sara Willy, Education Director at Taproot Theatre Company For more pictures see Children’s Theatre Pictures gallery.
Patricia was surprised to see me upon first entering Suzzane’s house for her 90th birthday party. I had gone up to Victoria just for her party. One does not turn ninety very often and I had to be there to see her face. I have uploaded all of the photographs to a web gallery here: birthday party photos Below are a sample of a few of my favorites.
